M305 Scope Mount

Basset is by far the easiest and most reliable mount I’ve tried. Buddy had a full
Rail type mount but was plagued with brass catching underneath it. He ended up
carving out a section of the rail to try to relieve the problem plus he would run out of adjustment in windage

Did your friend have the utg mount? I’ve got one and have the same problem. Could there be something to be done to the ejector or the extractor?

I think it’s a low clearance issue. But it sure jammed up
the works. If you’re looking for a quick way to scope the 305 this is it.The base mounts on the side of the receiver using the existing screw hole as well
as using the horizontal groove leaving the rear sight poceket in place. As well as being able to theoretically torque the base down the same each time. Works good
on mine. It does what basset says it does. Try to get the full rail edition and maybe a cantilevered scope ring set up on a LOW basset mount. Eye relief can be an issue

I have a vltor casv-14 rail and its causing alot of jams. Im gonna try a usgi extractor and spring and a usji ejector and spring. Hopefully that gets my brass extracting around the 3 oclock positioninstead of 1
