M305 "Shorty" Range Report

Finally got to my local range with the M305 and a handful of Norinco .308.

Straight out of the box, (cleaned up and lubed, of course) I was surprised and pleased that the elevation was right on at 50 yds.

Windage required a minor adjustment to the right, then a string of bulls.

Here I was all prepared to follow the sticky "How to kick ass with grade 4 math" for sighting it in! Not required!

Rifle is one of CanAmmo's combo deals; it won't be at a Hungry clinic 'til Sep 12 but in the meantime, I have replaced the op rod spring guide and op rod spring (Wolff) as well as doing my own shimming.

No FTF, no FTE...very pleased.

Life is good. My #### will definitely not fall off!

Good news Rule303 ...These are a nicer rifle with the shorter barrel :) and the overall finish was better than my others.
You missed a good 2 day clinic that we had in Petawawa ...we are having another one next year...so hope to see you there.
 
Hey, Canam: Which mfg'er or brand of op rod spring guide are you carrying? I gotta ensure the I send the M14 addicts to the matched up dealers and brands. For Example: S&J op rod guides are available at Ballistic Experience IIRC. :cool:
SFRC sells the M14Medic / Magwedge unit. People have been PM'ing me and asking me and right now I'm all over the place coaching 4 rugby teams on top of my teaching timetable. :eek:

Rule 303: I'm assuming you greased up that shorty the way we showed you at the clinics? :D

I've had 3 customers in 48 hours tell me that they bought the CANAM "special" for use in the Blackfeather "RS". I look forward to seeing these built up. I think you get 520 rounds with the rifle? If I didn't already own four M14s I would be all over that deal! To hear that they are shooting well right out of the box is great news. Thanks for the post.

Barney...greased 'er up as per ur clinic in Barrie.

Do u do headspacing at clinics or only by mail? I've saved 3 rounds from the initial firing.
