M305 SOCOM value

Hello Dave:
the mount is worth $180 brand new and the rifle is or was $599 new, If was in the market for a socom and it had that mount I would pay between $6 and 700 for it but some people don't like the mount as it sits kinda low and if there is any deficiency with the extractor at all the shells will hit it and jam it, you might be better off selling it separate but that's just my 2 cents hahaha
they didn't make enuf of them so you wont have to try too hard to sell it

last I checked the arms 18 mount retailed for over 200 Canadian, generally about 240.00 landed when our dollar was near par.

I would say barring any gremlins , and absent of any other upgrades like springs, nm guide rod, rear sights ect...... if it's simply the base rifle, hand selected or not, with a genuine arms 18 and no other mods/parts upgrades........ 700.00 shipped is a good solid firm price. I'd only go lower if you paid less than that.

I believe the only difference is on the socom model, you can flip the flash hider around to make it appear shorter than it really is. Once the flash hider is flipped the muzzle is flush with the end of the hider.

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong but I believe that's the only difference.

Yes , I believe you are correct and these were a special order by Canammo and were have a better fit and finish than a standard shorty .

I have disassembled my friends when he first received it and installed a solid op spring rod for him , the fit and finish was very very good , no shims required on that puppy .

I have has a Few ( lol ) m305 long barrels and this socom was the best machining I have seen to date , at least on the one my friend bought .

Value is difficult as this was a limited r production run , lightly used ,,,, with scope mount $700 plus shipping / insurance I think is a fair bottom line , but who knows , supply and demand rules the day for fininal " SOLD " Price .

Best of luck !!:runaway::runaway::runaway::runaway:

The DA Socom indeed had the reversible flash hider to give the Springfield restricted SocomII look while maintaining a Canadian non-restricted barrel length of 18.5",...but didn't some 22" standard rifles arrive as well around the time of the Socoms with their receivers stamped Socom as well??
