M305 Troy industries brake

Bought a Troy industries brake for my 2011 full length M14. Tried to book a cut and thread with a local smith. Was informed that once the barrel is cut, it will not take the brake. The barrel is smaller where it will be cut than the thread size. Just FYI so others dont waste there time and money .
 
All you have to do is buy a SEI 5/8-24 thread adapter from Armtec (now in stock) and screw your Troy brake on. I've already done it with the Troy Medieval, not better than the SEI Navy brake. Have since replaced the Troy with PWS FSC30 which seems to me to kick less and stay on target better (did tend to move to the right).
