M305 weird wear point?

Just curious if anyone finds these wear points on the receiver/bolt a bit odd? Rifle has always functioned flawlessly. And yes its always greased.
Hopefully pics are clear enough. Taken with a toaster.

Iightly file off them burrs , its just getting worn in is all. If its not binding and is running good I wouldn't worry much . Its a battle rifle designed for hard usage keep an eye on it and you should be good . How many rounds have you put threw her ? Is she shooting straight ?

I have similar wear on mine. Maybe 2-300 rounds through it. I use a very fine stone, and just remove the burr's on the edges of the wear spots. Mine runs fine

It's an impact point being worn in. Keep it greased and inspect it now and then to file off any sharp edges.

This happens a lot to SAI rifles as well. It isn't just the M305

I got this disease as well, but the gun seems to run great.

Glad to see your post about this wear point, im going to take it off my list of things worth having on a list, now.

Peaning in that area is very common for all commercial and USGI M14 variants. How is your op rod fit, tight or loose, aligned with the gas piston or not?
