M305: What to wear?

I'm curious, how well does the Norinco M305 action handle changing stocks.

For example, if I had a wood stock to recreate the original look of an M14, and some sort of more modern stock with a bipod etc. and swapped the action between the 2 stocks depending on which stock I felt like using at the range that day.

I guess the other alternative is to just have the 2 actions and be done with it...
 
only issue that you "might' have is from the oprod guide pin sliding out. The M14 oprod guide pin is longer then the one on the norc because its part of the full auto mechanism, and the stocks have a little space there for it, which is not wanted with the norc. Very easy to deal with, just fill the little area with jb weld or some epoxy or crazy glue some popsickle stick in there.

other then that i havent had any issues from switching from norc wood/norc plastic to usgi wood and fibreglass. Did it a couple times before i decided which way i wanted it on my 2
 
you can't afford a popsicle stick and some epoxy?- there's even some m305 stocks in plastic on the ee from to tome - I purchased such an item to replace my gumwood stock
 
Popsicle sticks? Not sure what you're going for.

My question is: if I were to outfit two different stocks for an M305, would swapping the action between the two stocks on occasional basis cause any problems with either the action, or with the stocks.

Short answer; no.

Long answer, no. But you may have some fiddling to do between stocks swaps. Depends on how you set it/them up! There is no reason why you couldn't though.

For instance, I find you have to shoot 5-10 rounds to seat the action into the stock before it starts to shoot consistently. You will not want to bed a stock and then pull it out of the stock "willy-nilly" more harm is done to the bedding by removing the action than by shooting the rifle.

I might think about the draw pressure variance between stocks causing a point of impact shift, but it might not be an issue.
