M305 Windage Adjustment

I have a question regarding the M305 windage adjustment. I can adjust the elevation with the left wheel but then I try to adjust windage the wheel just spins. It doesn't look like any adjustment can be made. The right wheel has those cut outs in the inside (by the receiver). I can use a screwderiver to tighten the screw for elevation adjustment.

Have I broke anything?

look inside the rear sight on the side where the oprod is( the right side) there should be a small circular nut inside the wheel that says right and left- you can tighten that with a blade screwdriver- then see how that works- it takes a pretty good reef to get 1 notch of movement on mine

Here are the instructions on how to dis-assemble and re-assemble the Garand M1 rear sight (same as the M14 rear sight). It also gives you the sight adjustment instructions that you need. I hope this helps
