Hi guys!
Just doing a quick mock up of a rifle here before anything permanent happens and noticed that (imprecise terminology/nomenclature warning):
1) MY SA NM gas cylinder doesn't want to "seat" on to the rifle, it stops about half an inch prior to lining up with the gas port on the barrel... the orignal norinco part slides on and off no problem. The resistance appears to be in the rear of the two loops(?) that fits around the barrel. I didnt try to force it on.
2) My SA muzzle break doesnt want to fit on the end of the rifle either. The crown wont fit inside of it. I did not try tightening the castle nut to any extent.
Let me know if I can clarify these issues any further.
Are these conditions normal? is it common to have to persuade these parts on with some degree of force? it is possible the barrel is not to spec?
Any input would be welcome. This rifle and these parts are likely to be sent to a more informed/competent individual for assembly but i am curious whats up.
Thanks All!
