Hi All,

Has anyone had experience with either a Stoeger M3500 or an ATA Venza shotgun?
I know the M3500 comes in a combo with a rifled barrel but can you buy a rifled barrel on its own? Same question for the ATA. Anyone had any issues with either of these shotguns?

Thanks!

I have been using a Venza bronze for about a year now.
Skeet and sporting clays it probably has about 2500 target loads through it.
Has handled steel as well for ducks.
I cannot think of one bad thing to say about it.
Never had a ftf of any description.
Everyone I have let shoot it was impressed.
No experience or info about slugs through the Venza.

I have been using the M3500 for about 7 years now and love it. Have shot thousands of skeet loads through it and hundreds of various hunting loads. My buddy uses it now for skeet shooting with me everything thegunnut says about his i can say the same about mine.

Oh great to hear good things about both shotguns.
Appreciate your reply.

the venza looks good, now and then I get the itch for a new shotgun. I like semi autos as long as they are reliable.
The Ata line looks very interesting, specially considering that they are made at the sme factory than some Beretta. For the price, it is hard to beat.

I just can't decide whether I want a gas shotgun or the other one they have which uses Inertia. I like the idea of Inertia as it is going to be cleaner.

Any feedback on these Ata Inertia Shotguns?

I have the Stoger and a Beretta A400 both are inertia driven, I have never had an issue with either of them. The only thing I could say is dont over oil them, they need very little oil to run perfect. Seeing that the ATA is pretty well identical I'd say you will have no issues. Unlike my buddys gas driven shotgun, hes always replacing o-rings and changing the gas ring for different loads I just point and shoot.

I believe your Beretta is gas driven and your Stoeger is inertia. I don't own either but looked closely at both a couple of years ago while shopping for an autoloader. I ended up with a Maxus.

You are correct, my bad. I was under the impression the action was inertia with the gas helping to drive the "blink system".

I believe the a400 is a mixed of both inertia and gas, although it operates mostly on gas, the bolt rotates and locks into the barrel like an inertia shotgun.
I like the action of the a400 a lot.

I am looking closely at the ATA shotguns, they seem to be solid, I just wish there was a better comparison in recoil management on the inertia vs gas, as I am sure they feel different.
