I was doing some deer hunting when a deer took off running. It looked like a pretty far shot, but I held the sights a bit high and led the critter quite a bit and fired. There were three deer running and they went behind a hill and only two emerged. I walked over to look and there was the dead deer. We measured the distance and the shot was 225 yards. Right through the chest. I usually don't take risky shots, but this looked pretty good so I gave it a try. I am really impressed with the rifle and the cartidge. I have a new favorite.

Congratulations, both on the deer and the use of a fine rifle and cartridge. Swede's do have a tendency to be accurate and gentle on the shooter. After this, I bet your confidence in the rifle goes way up, it is one fine deer cartridge.

very good, but was it the deer you hoped it to be??? nothing like taking a long running shot at a primo buck and watching the doe beside him do a nose dive
