Hey all, looking to get my own shotgun to shoot at ladies night every week and was advised this would be a good gun to get as I wanted something a little more dual purpose (hunting as well). It's more in the price range I want to spend at the moment, semi auto is a plus but not required.

I've been reading reviews and such online, but was hoping to get some first hand experiences from the folks here.

Pros? Cons?

I've been using the guns offered where I shoot, pump, break and semi. But the variance each time is frustrating cause I'm actually a really decent shooter and that's why I want my own, for consistency.

Thanks in advance

I think that gun will work fine for hunting and trap but the most important thing is that it fits you. It's best to shoot one if you know someone who will lend you theirs to find out if it will work for you or not. If you can find someone who knows how to fit a gun and shoulder one a few times while the fitter watches you, that can be very helpful if you can't actually shoot one. This gun comes with a shim kit to adjust the stock so that's a good thing but if the gun doesn't fit then it's not going to work well for you.

They market the M3k as a 3-gun competition gun, but the only real difference is the oversize bolt handle and bolt release pad. Which would probably be beneficial for hunting on cold conditions with gloves on?

h ttps://www.stoegerindustries.com/m3000-shotgun comes in a number of variations, with a shell catcher they would be suitable for trap, no issues shooting skeet or hunting with one. Cycling light 1 oz target may be an issue, not all inertia guns play nice with light loads, but if it fits you than it wouldn't be a bad choice.
