most 22lr conversion kits for the ar platform are around the 290->325 price point. Questar is selling off their CMMG at a reduced price. They also have Spikes. The alternative is to find one on EE. I am importing one from BRownells...
Tried the Stingers in my CMMG and Nork M4, cycles the action nicely but it would not group at 50 yards, when checking the target, noticed that some rounds were keyholing. Seems to shhot better with the Dyna points.
Faster barrel twists overspin the light 30ish grainer .22LR rounds. I wouldn't expect any real accuracy out of the drop in kits (unless you had a 1 in 12)
I think ideal twist for .22 is something like 1:16. What is the twist on the Norc? 1:9 or 1:7? Either way, look for the longest, heaviest .22 bullets you can find to try to improve groups.
I heard .22 isn't too bad out of old 1:12 twist barrels.
