M4... How much?

Ok, I know almost nothing about ARs but I am kinda toying with the idea of getting an M4. I have fired one a few times and handled a few of them.
What would I expect to pay new? and used?

I do not need any bells or wistles on it, just a plain jane factory civi version.

Colt 6920 or 6921 is the closest you'll get to the real thing , but since Colt is not allowed into the country anymore , the odd used you might find here will be around 2500.00 . After that you'll have to go to a different manufacturer than Colt .
