I hear a lot of good things about this especially the accuracy. I have some questions about this product.

Is the feeding of 23/4 inch shells ever a problem? Does it always cycle?
Does it work even with #7 or 8 shot?
Does it take 3' and 23/4" shells? How about sabot?
How easy is it to strip and clean? Do I have to clean it every time after I shoot it?

This is important to me because I might take it with me and shoot partridge when I go moose hunting. This isn’t the primary role but it’s nice to know that the gun is capable for that as well.

Thanks

You could use anything from 2 3/4 inch target loads upto 3 inch - minimum recommended is 3 drams 1 1/8 oz loads.

If you already haven't done so you may need to break the shotgun in first perhaps using a couple boxes of 2 3/4 inch 1 1/4 oz or more heavier loads. Having said that, this need may also be redundant, IMHO.

The M4 has a smooth bbl (Sabots are meant for use in Rifled bore).....you may use foster type slugs using a rifled choke or simply smooth bbl.

Compared to other existing semi-auto brands, Benellis are the easiest to strip and clean.

YES, cleaning after each time the firearm has been used is very strongly recommended.....the type of cleaning required may depend on how heavy or light use the gun has been subjected to :)

Just a thought :), you may wish to read the manual throughly i.e. if you already haven't done so. Enjoy your M4, Benellis are excellent firearms - I use an M2 which has a similar design.

I'm aiming to get one. At this point I'm researching the market
Better to get user opinions than manufacturers’' brochures and comments. I think that my main ammo will be challenger slugs, when I get it. I always had good results - mild recoil and tight groupings.

Thanks, that was very helpful.
