Figured it would be faster to ask here rather than a wtb ad.
Where can one buy an m44 bayonet and the associated hardware for it? Probably doesnt matter but it is a Pol.

Think I see some on ebay out of the Ukraine. Was looking at a m44 without but looks like two different types. Decided for the same price just buy one with, would have $150 to get one.

M44 bayos come in 2 type variety.
WW2 production and postwar.
WW2 bayo has no free play in engaged position and one lug ear in the folded position. thus will not fit on double ear lug which is common on post war carbines. Post war bayo will have back and forth movement in engaged position, thus extending over on forward lug of the bayo mount.
This feature was implemented to increase accuracy when firing with extended bayo.

Very informative, thank you. Do you have an opinion firing the m44 bayonet in or out? Lots out there and all different. My m38 wasn't made for one and I have never fired it so clueless to its accuracy.

M44 is zeroed with bayo engaged or as you say out.
So if its ww2 carbine, bayo loop is fixating on the barrel. This will affect how carbine shoots bayo in vs out. Postwar carbines have the outer ear as well as the loop. Besides this feature the bayo blade itself moves in linear direction few mm this creates harmonic effect on the barrel making it shoot the same pattern with bayo in or out.
M38 is different, it has thicker barrel and should shoot as good as its barrel condition allow.

Apparently alot has changed. The last item I bought from the Liberty Tree Collectors was in March 2019. Everything in this world is getting worse not better.
