I had a chance to handle one of them the other day and I was extremely disappointed to learn they don't make them in 260 rem. Why oh why? That would be my dream gun. I find it a bit silly to buy one only to pull the barrel and have another one put on but I might just have to.

I would also like to see a better selection of chamberings from Winchester. The rifle is really great, but the list of available cartridges is rather short. That being said, there is nothing in NA or anywhere in the world really, that can't be taken with the chamberings available.

Yes, the 260 should be available in more rifles. It seems to be catching on now, and hopefully should be offered in some more guns in the future.
Winchester tries way too hard to chamber their guns for Winchester cartridges. They ignore some pretty basic cartridges made by Remington, they don't chamber anything in 223!!!!.... just brilliant. Even their varmint rifle isn't chambered in 223. Cartridge selection is Winchester's greatest downfall right now, if they got their head out of their As#@s and acknowledged more cartridges produced by other companies they would do sooo much better

I fully agree. Hell, if they did a .284 win featherweight I'd buy it.

They used to make it in 6.5x55mm. I used to own one. In a fit of insanity, I sold it. Derp.

A few "interesting" rounds would definitely bump up sales. The FWT in .284 would sell. So would a .257 Roberts. And a 6.5x55mm (which is way cooler than .260). And .338 Federal. A Sporter or Supergrade would probably sell like crazy in .35 Whelen or 9.3x62mm.

Should send an email to their customer service line. The only way they'll know people want them is if they get flooded with requests.

Super impressed with the new Featherweights. I had my 270 out for the second time yesterday. It's shooting 150 TSXs well under an inch. I haven't even broken out the factory hot glue yet, just tightened the screws and mounted a scope. Action is as slick as my 12 year old 338. Barrel channel is even, trigger is even quite good

Agree with MikweyB, a .284 in the M70FWT would be a match made in HAVEN.:p. Ammo concerns though except to bench pressers. I have that round in a M100.
The .260 whizz-bang would be blasphemy, the 7X57 and 6.5 would be classic returns to a great rifle. I remember all those great calibers avalible years ago in the FWT, but i stuck with the .270. That short action little .257Roberts, can you say Wifeys first deer rifle any more perfectly.:)
