M8 4x question

I recently purchased a minty leupy M8 4x non compact. Can't seem to focus it to a sharp resolution. At 50 yards it seems a little fish bowl-ish too. Have it mounted on my winny 9422m. Wonder if it needs a trip to the warranty shop. Anyone experience similar observations, thanks.

Try it at a 100 yards.
Seems the parallax goes away around there.
If you send it in, ask for the parallax to be set at a lower distance.......50 yards?

Hey kamlooky, I tried it at 100, the fish-bowl effect went away however the scope is still not clear, tried focusing the usual way, no dice. I guess I'll be sending it to Korth for a clean up.

Not to be a cheeky arse, but are the lenses clean?
I was given a scope last week and it wasn't too horribly bad.
Took a lens pen to it and spent a bit of time on the lenses.
Then a proper soft lens rag and some cleaner and went over it
again.
Amazing what the clarity became.
Crisp and clear.
The scope was an old Scopechief VI with the BDC reticle.
Now to find some info on how to make it work.
Keep us posted as to what they charge you on the parallax adjustment.
I have that same scope here sitting on the bench and wish to put it on
a rimfire.
