M96+Barrel Clamp Bipod, Yes or No?

hey guys, what are your opinions on barrel clamp bipods, do they effect the accuracy/precision(please inform me on the difference, i forget) of a rifle? Just wanted to know because I was planning on putting one on my M96 and since its my only bolt action(I know having just one is sacriledge haha) I want it to be as accurate as possible.

I got a clamp on bipod and its flimsy. Mars the barrel too.

Hanging anything on a barrel will probably change your point of impact too.
