You still won't clear a scope unless you have super high rings, and no guarantee of correct headspace.

Yes, the M-38 (and M94) bolts are not really all that low but unlike wartime Mausers, Swedes were always built to very high peacetime standards of fit. In four decades experience playing around with Swedes I have never experienced any problems when swapping bolts. And there are plenty of Swedish Mauser bolts out there for sale that have already been modified for general low scope mounting. Just watch the EE.
