Just got off the phone with Samco in the US. A veritable candy store for the milsurp owner. But they do not ship to Canada. :-( Suddenly I feel very far away! ;-) Who imports this stuff into Canada.

I'm looking for a +3.5 front sight, sight protector, Swedish ball ammo etc....Any thoughts?

You are quite right, Armourbearer: we are isolated and we are becoming moreso each and every day. "World's Longest Undefended Border": hah! Ten thousand a night can cross the US southern border and a GOPHER can't get across their northern one. THEY let in terrorists and then blame it on US. Somebody is gonna have to tell the Americans to WAKE UP. WE are not The Enemy.

Far as I'm concerned, they don't want me shopping in Minot on Saturday, fine. They don't need the oil from Alberta and Saskatchewan, either.... or the refined gasoline from the Canadian refinery in Regina that keeps 4 states running.... or the hydro power from Manitoba and Ontario that keeps half their North-East going. You can't keep kicking people in the teeth forever and expect them to thank you for it. The resentment exists now and it is growing.

As for your parts problem, friend, call Trade-Ex and talk to Anthony. His buyers do a lot of work in Sweden and he might be able to source what you need. He does have SOME parts for the 96, anyway.

Worth an e-mail if nothing else.

smellie, most of the import problems, concerning firearms and firearm related articles, into Canada, aren't the fault of the US. Our government and country, are on their "friendly" list.
All that has to happen, is for the Canadian government to ask for exemption. They can ask for total exemption or specific exemptions. So far as I know, there has been no attempt, by the Canadian government to do this. The Liberals, during their long watch, specifically requested that we be put onto their "do not export to" list.

The US, would only be to happy to allow this stuff to be sold in Canada, in the promotion of fair trade practises.
