Just saw this today on their website and there isn't much info on it yet but this would fill a nice void for me. Wondering if it will use DPMS style of barrel/nut or AR10?

It's a manual repeater.

About the only thing that will be left after the Liberals get their way. Then they will come for the 'scary' looking guns.

Thanks but no thanks. I bought 2 SLR receiver sets plus a BCL Coyote which uses the SLR lower design. When the FRT got (arbitrarily) changed these guys folded like a wet paper bag. If I want to buy something again it will be from the one other Canadian company that stuck their middle finger in the air and kept on going.

This! BTW, I was chatting with that 'other' company and suggested they build a receiver set similar to their main product but in 308. It would be close enough to the AR-10 that everyone with Stags/Troys/etc... would be pounding down their door just like folks are with the current offering. For now though, they are too busy with their primary receiver sets.

Awesome to hear they are still that busy with their current product.

🤔 the “caliber” of some ppl on this board really highlights the reason why I don’t spend much time on here anymore.....

I don’t own their products, never have.... But I can use my noodle to figure out that a small business, with one employee (the owner) with no financial backing from a bank or government might have a little trouble “bouncing back” after the feds banned their main product line and left them with a couple hundred thousand dollars of inventory they cannot legally sell.....

My small firearms business couldn’t take the hit when the feds changed the rules and by your description I also “Folded like a wet paper bag”... Know anyone who wants to buy $100k worth of M14 pattern rifles, parts and tooling? Ya, I don’t either....

Difference being the M14 was named in the OIC and therefore it was in fact legally banned. People like yourself had no choice in the matter. I am not a complete pr!ck and do feel bad for anyone effected who had no choice in the matter.

The other product lines being talked about in this thread are not banned by Canadian law like your M14. I know you think it's the same ballgame but it's not.

I wonder if “that” other company has ever considered fabricating a straight pullback upper for their lower so the FRT can revert back?

I agree with you. It's not like the guy wanted to fold it's that he was forced out. Some people just have no grasp of how small business works.

BCL on the other hand dipset pretty quickly after the ban, despite being a much bigger company.

Wyatt was not forced out of business any more than we were by the OIC, yet. His creation like ours is NOT listed in the OIC which IS the law. The FRT was illegally changed, but fortunately the FRT is NOT law, merely the opinion of a rogue police force.
I find it disturbing how many people throw in the towel instantly as soon as any sort of problem arises. Sad so many cave rather than fight. Canada is doomed as a result of this mentality.

And this is why I support the "other company"... They did not roll over and die, but instead are charging ahead and taking the battle to the feds. That is where my money goes!

I believe Wyatt and MDI are named in the CCFR lead court case, so I would not say that he turned tail and ran away. I am aware that the website and social media for MDI more or less vanished and I guess this could be seen as hiding. The fact that he has come up with the NRR, like maple ridge and spectre, wouldn't that show they are trying to adapt to the changing situation while teaming up with a bunch of people to fight the OIC? This is a question not a statement. Also wouldn't it be better to focus our displeasure on the current government/OIC instead of each other?

Just sayin'

I've contributed to the various legal challenges so if Wyatt is a part of one of them then I'm glad to have supported him in that way.

Yup, but Canadian gun owners always seem to want to nitpick the f@ck out of each other. This thread is a great example. here we have a new product that seems to fill a niche given our current situation. We should be happy that more companies are bringing out new options for us, instead there is finger wagging and self righteousness.

Few-if any- of us know the situation that MDI or any other business is in. Seems to be they felt that the best course of action would be to pivot and focus on a different product line that was less susceptible to the whims of the RCMP, which is a reasonable way to proceed. Not every company or individual has to respond to the OIC in the same manner, there is room for multiple approaches

Criticizing someone for not taking the approach that *YOU* feel they should take is like getting angry that someone prefers chocolate ice cream over your preferred vanilla.

good and timely post.
I get too pissed off to even express here how disturbed I am at the underhanded blow the turdo regime has inflicted on good hard working canadians just trying to make an honest buck in this world. I kinda saw the writing on the wall when turd got elected the first time and shelved my plans to get truly serious about setting my new shop up for full time m14/M1 garand composite rifle stock production as well as some very cool AR15 and AR 10 type composite components. It was a good call on my part as I refrained from making that considerable investment in materials and fixtures. I find myself forced onto disability by my doctors and could really use the self employment income that my stock making passion provides but it's all geared to firearms that are prohibitted now so what's the point? I've thought about switching gears to hunting rifle stocks for popular actions but I'm having a hard time convincing the wife that I should make that investment in action tooling and new prototyping and molds....... phuckin trudeau ...... reprehensible little prick
I wanted to file my own court challenge but I am not gonna run a gofundme LOL so I will donate to the challenges as my budget permits and buy canadian made whenever an option is presented.
I got loads of respect for any canadian outfit attempting to make a go under these circumstances that's for sure.
