This receiver set surprising doesn't have any solid reviews yet. It looks like it has a better design than the Maverick but sadly I haven't been able to get any user input on it. Just want to get some vibes before I pull the trigger on it. Any reviews?

I don't think it exists yet.
I wouldn't go near anything macdef unless its a completed, and tested build. Just based on my experience with a horror show of a build with the SLR. Would be nice if they did some basic QC like oh..... seeing if a barrel nut will thread on for starters.
what supposedly gives it a better design than the Maverick?
Haven't had any issues with all the MRA product I have built with. Haven't built a Maverick yet but the video reviews look to me like they have covered all the bases.

Firearmsoutlet and RDSC are selling receiver sets.. or 3/4 builds through RDSC. I went the MRA way an picked up a maverick .308 loving it so far . Customizable, clean machining, bolt catch. Only thing that annoys me is you cannot press feed it. Have to pull back all the way an let it rip or else it doesnt seat. Other than that it hasn't liked the Steel cased lacquer Rds. They get kinda stuck in the chamber and the extractor gets hung up. 1 FTE on the nickel casings. All in all I'm happy with it. Looking at a renegade build next.
