Finally got around to ordering a replacement stock for my bubba'd 30-40 Krag.
It's bbl was chopped to 19" so no restoration for this one ( it looks longer in the pic)
A friend tipped me to this company.
They were very quick and it seems like a well done stock IMO
No expert by any means but I'm hoping it'll have a nice grain when I'm done
I've not disassembled the original yet but the blank seems to have all of the proper inletting.
Somebody is bound to say this belongs in " Gunsmithing , but folks on this forum do a lot of fixing / replacing stocks on Milsurps. I thought it seemed to fit in this forum.
I'm thinking just going with a BLO finish, keep it simple.
But I would have to recommend these folks, about 8 days from Georgia to Podunk, AB.
