If it was your blond stocked 99E I wouldn't lose any sleep over it.
I'm sure once you go and shoot that 88 you'll be p.m.ing me for another 99.
Just got in the door from a weekend out at the moose camp, got 5 nice fat speckles, they were hitting pretty good, nailed 3 right off the dock as soon as we got there, the ice was about 1' thick.

Well, it was the blonde.
The 88 cleaned up nicely, but, as the 99 (mine) was not a great shooter, it doesn't have much to live up to.

Now I don't feel 1/2 as bad since "GillY" gave me a .300 Savage 99 (which will up for sale once I get a verifier) last October,Then he gave me our Dad's model 88 in .308.So now the Savage is put to the back of the safe and the 88 is given a new life!
