Ok so I traded my S&W 29-2 for a
Remington 3200 O/U 30" barrel full/mod.

It's an early model and pictures verify the call back upgrades were done by Remington.

Now being an older piece and of course limited parts.
My question is:

What parts should I stock up on if I can get them that are most common wear n tear on a over and Under?

I'd hate to see something go and then not be able to repair it...or are parts for this shotgun more common ????

I meant to send you this. I would get some hammer springs (51) and some firing pins (23) if you're really concerned about it. Numrich has most of the smaller internal parts in stock........usually. You will also need two 1/16 drill bit that is inserted in a tiny hole on each hammer spring rod that allows you to take out the firing pins easily. I'll send you the manual. It's easy if you know how to do it. Almost impossible if you don't.

Depends how much you plan to shoot it and how much shooting it has already undergone. I would be inclined to have the forend glass bedded as they were prone to splitting over time as the forend iron was known to bend with use. The metal in the forend iron is soft and bends from high volume shooting. You can have the forend iron reinforced as well either through brazing or glass bedding into place a small metal spacer(washer cut in half) and placed between the adjuster and the end of the slot. Shoot me a PM if interested and I can put you in touch with a fellow here in Canada that can do them up properly and save you a ton of $ from having to send it to Laibs if it ever needs repair. There aren't many around that know 3200's well enough to trust they get done right. I see you're in Hamilton, call Rick Lawry at Lawry Targets. He can help you with parts and service on them as well.
