We have been working on something behind the scenes and it is finally ready. We are proud to introduce the new Extant Hoplite Level 3+ Spall Coated Steel Plate. All of these plates are proudly manufactured in Canada.

They are the most affordable spall coated steel plates currently being made in Canada at under half the price of any other we have found on the market. These are coated with a proprietary spall coat that catches the fragments and redirects what can't be caught away from the wearer, to prevent the spall from following the curve of the plate and depositing bullet fragments in any of the wearers extremities or neck. We will be beginning the pre-order next week of our first full production run of these plates. We have done quite a lot of in-house testing and we will be receiving the official testing report from the NIJ certified lab next week. Once we get that we will post it here.

Great work. Loved the price point on steel before, but to see you working on a Canadian product just warms the heart. Haha. Can't wait to see what you guys come up with next...perhaps the Canadian Gorka, or a covert soft armor package.

Price is almost too good to be true....what size are they? 10x12?
I mean we can always try to raise the price a bit. I’m just kidding the reason it took so long to get to this point is we where trying to find a spall coating solution that would work at this price point. We ended up developing our own proprietary formula that allows it to function properly and to be affordable. Yes the price listed is for a 10x12 plate. As of this moment all our tooling is set up for 10x12 so we will be limited to that size for the immediate future.

Yeah we thought it was best to try and bring some manufacturing back to Canada. As for what is next we have some thing in the works that we should be able to post about in the next couple weeks. I should add what’s coming next will all be made in Canada.

Are you able to make plates that are 8x10? The 10x12's are rather big.

Sadly we are limited to just 10x12 at the moment as it was more cost effective to invest in getting the tooling set up for one standard size rather than several. Depending on what demand looks like we might do other sizes but as of this moment it’s just 10x12
