Myself and others are interested in where your products are made? Is everything made in 🇨🇦 Canada? If not, what is made where? What is made in house by MDT? And what is contracted out to other canadian businesses?

One of the main reasons I buy mdt is because it’s canadian. If it’s not so canadian than I’ll look elsewhere.

I am not really certain what "made in Canada" actually means? The sticker was made here? Or the box that the sticker is stuck to? Are ALL the parts made from scratch in this country or just some of them. Is the plastic made from Canadian oil? Is the metal smelted from Canadian ore, at a smelter in Canada? Are all the parts made elsewhere, and the product assembled here? Are assemblies imported and two screws installed to join two assemblies together become a "made in Canada" product? Are the screws made in Canada? I am sure there are various laws defining the use of the words "made-in-Canada" - that a retailer or manufacturer might have to consider, but this consumer (me) does not know what the "fine print" reads.

International Barrels or IBI are made in Canada but not where where the steel comes from.

Pristine Actions are made in Canada.

ultimatum Actions are also made in Canada.

Triggertech I believe is made in Canada as well.

These are a few I’m 98%-100% sure on.

That’s exactly what I’m wondering. This is a conversation from a couple of other threads and some private messaging. I’m just asking for a breakdown to squash some rumours, or find out if they’re true. There was some allegations and negative comments about mdt. I thought I’d go straight to the source

Its a good deal more defined than in the US for example.

But it is entirely self regulated so its pretty worthless.

' "If a product is labelled with a “Product of Canada” claim, then the last substantial transformation of the good must have occurred in Canada and all or virtually all (at least 98%) of the total direct costs of producing or manufacturing the good must have been incurred in Canada." '

' "If a product is labelled with a “Made in Canada” claim, then the last substantial transformation of the good must have occurred in Canada, at least 51% of the total direct costs of producing or manufacturing the good must have been incurred in Canada, and the “Made in Canada” representation must be accompanied by an appropriate qualifying statement. An example of a qualifying statement would be “Made in Canada with imported parts” or “Made in Canada with domestic and imported parts.” '

A majority of our products are manufactured in British Columbia, Canada.

I just dug out an old chassis base box, vertical grip, barricade stop and data card. They all said “product of Canada”.

Your starting to ask questions on a public forum that a competitor would want to know. Going to prove to us that all your income is soley derived from 100% Canadian companies, including investments?

I do not get the point of this thread. MDT is a Canadian company, has a solid reputation, makes great products and operates within similar industry standards as many other companies. On a personal note, I’ve had nothing but positive experiences from MDT! The end.

Your 100%, let's delete this comment if you will?

That is exactly the point of this thread. MDT has a solid reputation and there was some negative comments and allegations in other parts of the interweb, so I thought I’d go directly to the source and ask for some clarification.

I personally own two acc and a bunch of accessories I’m happy with, but if they’re made in China than I’m going straight to cadex with my next purchase.

To clarify we do all of our manufacturing in North America. The majority is in Canada, but we are setting up shop right now in the US to begin moving some select stuff there.

MDT is a great company and great people, customer service is great. Quick to respond to e-mails and when I’ve called them with questions they’ve always taken all the time needed!

Thank you for clearly answering my question; I'm glad to hear the rumors I posted in your forum are wrong. As I mentioned more than once, I'll be buying another chassis from you in the near future.

Well said.
