Hi guys sorry to bother you again with that ..but I'v made it with another procedure And Now get 3.321'' to the land.. If I'm Using 168 gr. Tsx ..at .030'' off the land It gives me 3.291'' as COAL.. Does It sounds great or AM I wrong.. I've made about 4 of them and all chamber well and the bolt close very easyly as a commercial munition..
 
Sorry Didnt Specify... 30-06 Tikka T3 stainless. Made the test earlier but someone put me on the track I was wrong...
 
Measure the COL with the bullet touching the rifling. Do this with several different bullets from the same lot for a good average. Subtract the distance you wish to be off the lands, and that will be your max col. It may or may not fit in the mag, if it doesn't, you'll have to shorten it some more if that's an important feature for you. - dan
