Anyone know of a place to get info/photos etc on the Madsen-Ljungman rifle?

I came across one reference to it while looking for parts * and thought it looked interesting, though I can't seem to locate ANY more info about it...

* [looking for triggerguard and all the screws/retainers no one seems to have!!! - HELP!]

Screws will be metric, of course.

Entirely possible they will interchange with AG42B screws.

The Madsen company originally was called Det Dansk Rekylriffelsyndikat Madsen A/S but now is known simply as DISA.

They are very much in business these days, but no longer build rifles.

If you write to them (real mail), they might be able to help.

Madsen-Ljungmann is a very rare toy in this part of the world. There were not many made.

Hope this helps.

I wasn't clear - I was looking for parts for my AG42 when I came across the reference to the madsen - the only person who seems to have the screws is springfield sporters ... I've had problems with him before so was looking for another source.

so anyway the only reference was an illustration of what looked like a ljungmann with some cooling slots routed in the top guard... no other info at all after googling for 10 or 15 minutes. I'm guessing a license built or contract ljungmann?

From what I can remember, the Madsen Ljungman looked similar to the Swedish AG42b, except that the hand guard was perforated and the text mentioned that the gas pipe was wrapped four (4) times around the barrel.
I think the older copies of W.B. Smith's books ( Small Arms of the World ), had a picture or a drawing.

I think I had read somewhere that the AG42[no-B] started life out this way as well. Could you imagine cleaning that????

Make the tube stainless steel and you don't need to clean it, just like the AR-15/M16 family.

The original version of the AG42 had a straight gas tube made of carbon steel. This was changed to stainless in the -B version due to rusting problems.
