My 10-round 223 pistol mags work perfectly in my stag lower/upper with fmj.
In my JP upper with OTM, not as well. Some of the rounds don't make it to the ramps - they just go forward into the receiver and get pushed back about 1/8" into the case. FMJ works fine.
Looking at the mags, I think they hold the rounds a tiny bit lower than 30/5's. At least my 30/5 and 20/5 mags have always worked just fine with the JP upper and OTM.
so... I can either adjust the mags or dremel "M4 ramps" into the barrel/receiver. As I am reluctant to dremel a nice JP setup, should I instead adjust the mags? How?
