Mag fed Norinco 870 clone question (da grizzly)

The ones that I have ,have very similar threads and the mag tubes caps interchange . As for the receivers being tapped some are some aren't . My 12 inche has sights factory installed and my 8.5 is drilled and tapped factory . I have a 8.5 non mag fed and that receiver is undrilled ( its basically the same receiver but with out a mag well ) there are rail sections that clip over the receiver and are held in place by the trigger pins. But be for warned the distance be tween the holes is shorter on the grizzlys than the Rem`s ( 1/8 of an inch )

I have a 12.5" mag fed grizzly, my wife has a 12.5" tube fed grizzly. The mag tube cap on both is the same thread as the rem 870's, in fact my grizzly wears my express mag tube cap and my express wears my grizzly mag tube cap.

Both of our grizzlys have ghost ring sights and are drilled and tapped for the rear ghostring sight base, however mine is an older reciever and the hole spacing is different than hers. Magwedge makes a small rail that fits the newer hole pattern, they make a high and a low mounting rail.

They say it doesn't fit the ghost ring mounting holes but it fits the newer hole patterns, I had to drill a new hole in the rail to mount it to my older version.

My older 12.5 tube fed came with ghost rings and was also drilled and tapped for a rail which was include in the box. The barrel was also thread for chokes. I think I bought this one in 2012 or 13.

Beauty. Got some spare 870 parts left over from a build so it's a good enough excuse for me to pick one up and dress it up.

Thanks for the replies.

They are fun guns but be warned some of them need some de burring and polishing to make them cycle smoothly, the seem to feed 2 3/4" shells the best. Although with a bunch of polishing and tweaking of mag lips I've almost got mine feeding 3" shells 100% of the time. The one thing you'll want to do is turf the factory plastic stock set for a rem or other brand, the factory ones weigh a ton, add the weight of the mag well and a full mag you will want it as light as you can get it if you plan on carrying around the bush.

I already have two 870s and two 500s and even a model 37 (safe queen) this purely for "I have a magpul for end, NEA (do not buy. Spend the extra money and get a better name) adapter and a buffer tube with a magpul stock and ergo grip. That shotgun will look sweet with this set up. It's going to be a rainy day gun... literally when it's raining I will use it for fun.

Not trying to change your mind, just let you know that they sometimes need some lovin to function as smooth as a tube fed version. I really enjoy mine, this is it current set up minus the vertical foregrip. I removed it as it isn't needed at the moment.

Yup. And that's all good. And I know all the bad things about buying norincos. I have owned many and refuse to ever buy one that costs more then a days wage ☺ right now the 12 inch is 400 but the 18 inch is 200. I do want the shorter one but won't spend that much lol.
