Looking at getting my gear ready for the black badge on the weekend and I got a nice CRSpeed belt, and a nice CRSpeed holster. But not sure what to do for the mag pouches, they all seem the same but different.

I am shooting a CZ Shadow.
Are the magnetic pouches something to look into? one maybe?

If you are not planning to shoot IDPA, then get Ghost, CRSpeed or DoubleAlpha pouches (the new DA ones will come in May). For IPSC you need pouches that can be adjusted at an arbitrary angles, 4 minimum or better 5. Personally I am running CRSpeed pouches, they are more adjustable then Ghost ones (they only have fixed positions), and not as crazy adjustable as old DA ones. They are also a bit higher above the belt, so easier to grab.

As for the magnet, you'll have more consistent reload (assuming you'll practice) with a regular pouch, but can use a large DA magnet on front of the first pouch for the stages when you need to pickup magazines off the table and run...

Yes. They're great! Also really a handy way of carrying your cell phone!

My cell is non ferrous so wouldn't hold it. lol.
But I am not sure if you are making fun of them or not.

They seem like they would be the best, as no matter the angle you pull they will come, but do I need to worry about a full mag just falling off?

That is the problem with magnets. Magazines tend to rotate on them, so you can't grab them consistently, while with a pouch mag is always in the same place. Also pouches like CRSpeed and DAA allow to adjust tension, so for short courses and speedshots without movement you can make it really light and tighten up for long stages when you need to run around and don't want mag fall off.
