magazine import question

Sourcing out for a family friend who has a winchester m1907 and he wants another magazine for it.

I found one from US retailer and they are able to send it to canada but the issue is that it is a ten round magazine, and with the rifle being a semiautomatic they have to be pinned to 5.

So pretty much what I'm asking is would customs see that the magazine is not pinned and not deliver it to me?
Obviously when I get it I'd pin it to make it legal, even though it's a shame for an old magazine for an old rifle to get pinned.

You will have to get an importer like I Run Guns to bring it in. They will pin it before they bring it in.
If it makes it to the border unpinned CBSA will seize it if not pinned.

I would be betting they would see it. Not a gamble I'd be willing to take. It might get delivered to you by a couple of uniforms! Magazine has to be pinned before it gets to Canada.

Thanks for the info. Yeah I had a feeling it wouldn't work like that.
