I got one of those red "PEZ" magazines but my .45 ball ammo wouldn't fit. I figure it must actually be for 9mm ammo and will try it next week at the range. lol

I hope that isn't a "high-cap" pez dispenser.....
I got it from my 7 year old. She told me the candy store owner had a rule that it had to be pinned to only carry 10 plus one in her hand. I told her she was lucky because at my range you can only put 5 in the mag at a time. She said she has a friend in the States who can jam as many in the pez dispenser as he wants.

Are you kidding? What range says 5 in a pistol mag? :puke:

And pinned pez's might be a good thing. Don't want kids to have access to too much sugar. They seem to get enough as is.

I agree about the sugar. Langley Rod & Gun indoor range has a 5 round max rule for semi-auto or wheelgun. I've only started shooting there so for the sake of being diplomatic I will wait a bit before talking to them about it. I imagine it has something to do with rifle mag maximums but I'm not sure. The people are nice enough and I've gotten a couple of good tips as well as one nice gent who helped me sight in my new S&W 686. He's on GunNutz and might share some background if he were so inclined.

I have been meaning to get there to sign up as a new member at Langley but now I don't know... makes you take a second look...

I think it might have to do with the single action revolvers as they do a lot of that there. But extending it to other guns that are perfectly safe to load higher is just plain DUMB! I didn't think anyone there was on crack... :onCrack:

I suppose there's always changing from within. Oh and don't ask about using magnum ammo there either. Come to think of it the new proposed DVC Ventures indoor range in Port Coquitlam is sounding better even at $500/yr.

Ya, I know about the no magnum deal and don't have a problem with it. It is their backstop. No big deal in a small indoor range. But 5 rounds is dumb.

Port Moody is a long drive from Langley though and subjects you to traffic problems. I take it you are in Langley? Try Ridgedale Rod and Gun in Abbotsford. Nice little range without the BS... well except for when they are shooting trap they don't want the rifle range noise.

Actually I was wrong about the DVC range location. It's in Port Coquitlam. I'm in Vancouver and only back into shooting after many years off. I just picked Langley from a list and didn't know of any other indoor ranges. I've also just joined PoCo & District range because they seem to have a good PPC program there.
