I've been noticing a funny thing on some of my semi-autos. Same gun, same batch of ammo, same day and conditions, 4 the same magazines but one of them has a little tighter spring. Shooting with support and watching the trigger pull to eliminate as much of operator induced error as possible, the tighter magazine somehow produces tighter group. I have noticed this on my CZ 75B in 9mm and same for my Springfield XDm .45ACP. Is there a merit to this or am I just imagining it. Could it be possible that the stiffer magazine spring ensures more uniform chambering and consequently more consistent shots ?

Firing occurs only once a round is fully chambered and the gun is locked up. Poor mag tension is one of
the main causes of rounds FAILING to chamber so in theory it's not the mag. That being said who can explain 1st or last out of a mag flyers.
