Hello
I recently purchased a V2 off the EE and got it yesterday.
So,when I hooked it up to my 7mm, the first shot read 700 fps, I thought that wasn't so hot.
But then,things picked up lol
The second shot read 9000 fps..yes!

So I emailed Magneto and they gave a list of settings to use.
But,I'm sceptical, as when I gently tap the screen,it flashes blue.
I've installed new batteries, but it's still the same.
Flashing from unlit to bright blue, when I tap the screen. Also, when I gently tap the screen, it gives a first shot reading of 1400 fps.

Is this normal for the V2 ?

Ah man thats a total bummer.

I bought new V3 from Western Metal about this time 2 years ago.... I realise its not the same as yours.
I know that Magneto's web site listed some V3 at discount because there was an issue on a few that had minor issues with the jack port at the bayonett....

I emailed Western Metal before I submitted my order and they re-assured me that their inventory did not contain any of those discounted/blemished units.

I haven't any issues with the V3 reading "exremely out to lunch" velocities like that. No issues of any kind for that matter.

I wonder if Magneto sold some "slightly" defective units sold at discount for their V2 series as well ?

Hope the buyer at least disclosed this issue on his EE ad ?

I hate hearing about sellers who fail to disclose known issues about their gear ... gets my blood up.

I just recently sold a v3 sporter,it was a couple of months old and used twice. Working fine, as far as I knew.
The buyer contacted me a couple of days ago, told me that it wasn't reading.
I offered a full refund, but he declined, as magneto was replacing it ,due to faulty jack.

Now, in regards to the V2 I just bought, I can't say if the seller knew, gotta give him the benefit of doubt.

But I have PM him and got no response.

I called Magneto and explained the situation.
And even though I've replaced the batteries, reset the settings, its still wonky.
They want me to fire a few shots over it and get back to them.
I guess I'll find out how good their warranty is.

Yan014 bought a magneto speeed, it was cool to play with it but you had to set it up on every single firearms. I'd say try a Labradar RIP the magneto, off to the EE you go in MINT unopened condition lol

Old School..lol
I dont use them much, not enough to worry about swapping them out anyways.

But, you never know.
If they replaced mine with a brand spanking new one, that might be an option.
