magnum airgun scope recommendations

Looking for recommendations as to what the most recommended scopes are for magnum rated airguns from you guys based on your own personal experiences?
I'll be using the scope on a trail np xl in .22 cal for hunting squirrel, rabbit and grouse.
Not a big fan of adjust obj., prefer no adjustment but if necessary 'side focus' would o.k. as I don't believe I'd be shooting much past 50 yards.
Prefer plain crosshairs to a mil-dot reticle, but again not a deal breaker.
I'm thinking 3-9x or 4-12x

You will need either a AO or a rimfire scope for shooting at less than 50 yards . I have a bushnell trophy 4-12x40AO(yes the are springer rated) on my tx200c (mild magnum springer) and its held up to @1000 shots so far. The scope that I want for it is the leupold VX-2 3-9x33mm AO Ultralight EFR airgun scope.
