I'm sure a few of you have run into this problem, you fire some magnum brass in one rifle then when you resize it and try it in diff rifle it won't chamber or is hard to close the bolt.I had a bunch of once fired 270 Weatherby brass that was fired in a rifle other then mine.None of it would chamber in my gun even after full length resizing in 2 diff sets of dies.It took a little looking to figure out why.The full length die cannot size right down to the belt,if you look real close it leaves a little ring about .020 just in front of the belt.I bought a collet die from Innovative Technologies that has a collet you slide over the case and it butts right on the belt. Then you run it up into the die and presto it swages that little ring down to minimun specs. It only reduces the diameter at the pressure ring.its a pretty neat die,the top of the die is a sizing gage, you drop the case into the top of the die if the belt don't touch the die it needs to be resized.it works on all magnum cases except 224,240,378 and 460 weatherby. It sure beats buying a bunch of new brass,Weatherby brass is not cheap.
