I loaded up a bunch of 357 Magnum ammo and realized I used regular small pistol primers not magnum primers by accident Will these rounds be safe?

Thanks

It's been nearly two weeks since the standard/magnum primer thing came on, I thought it was due about now.

hehe yeah it's a recurring theme alright.

Here's the standard answer and observation plasma. You don't use magnum primers just because the cartridge is named "magnum". You use'em if you're loading with slow-burning ball powder like H110. Otherwise, don't need'em.

What's more, some would argue that even then you'd get fine results using regular primers, that in the end, it really doesn't make much of a difference.

Yup, I've burned lots of H110 and never used magnum primers with it.
Also, burned lots of H4831, sometimes in winter weather, never used magnum primers.
But here I go repeating myself, again, again, again----

I get modest velocity increases using magnum primers in pistol cartridges. Switching a mag for regular primer, you probably won't even notice.

"...Will these rounds be safe?..." Yep, but you'll have to work up the load again.
You don't need magnum primers just because you're loading a magnum cartridge. One has nothing to do with the other.
