Magnum Research .17 Mach2 conversion for 10/22?

Anybody out there that has or had a Magnum Research .17 Mach2 barrel and bolt handle conversion kit on a 10/22? Your thoughts/observations/experiences?

I have a M.R graphite 22 barrel and love it . The barrel weighs 13 ounces and can shoot as good or better than a green mountain.

I thought all stuff for semi auto 17HMR and 17HM2 rifles were discontinued due to rounds deforming and occasionally firing out of battery. I could be wrong, but that is what I heard.

I think that was only for the 17 hmr,from what im been told.
