Has anyone had a chance to handle or shoot the Magnum Research Desert Eagle 1911 C Model? I talked to Freedom Ventures (they cannot sell directly) and was told they were like the series 70 made in Israel. I am interested but cannot find one to see. Anyone out there handled one?

I don't have one, nor have I handled one. But I did some research on them a while ago as I was interested in one, they seem to be solid pistols, which is what I'd expect for being Israeli made. The only gripe people seem to have is that it has "DESERT EAGLE" engraved in large letters down the slide, when it obviously isn't a DE. And they come with Mec-Gar mags.
I was going to buy one until I set my eyes on a Sig 1911 Nightmare, now that's on my wishlist.
