I bought mine online from frontier firearms. They only have a 44mag one right now but whenever they come back with a 50ae in stock again I found they were the best price
 
have you put up a wanted post in the ee? i just scored a great deal on a s&w 500 on there, lightly used, but much cheaper than what new would have been

Being a noob on CGN you can't join ee right away. I was told I have to get my post count up to be accepted into ee otherwise when i try I just get rejected

If you've done an introduction thread, there's no reason you can't join right away. Post count had nothing to do with it.

And that's what I thought so I've done everything I'm supposed to but after the 4th time of being rejected I messaged CGN Admin and they told me I had to get my post count up so once I felt I had contributed enough to the forums to try and join again... Still not in yet
 
Just keep posting "+1", or "FTW!" or some other inane comment on numerous threads like so many others do to get the count up.

If I can provide some advice for when you finally get one (hopefully not the pimp bikini underpants leopard print one, but to each his own).

I find the Hornady Custom 300gr works really well with this gun, and they are priced better than Magnum Research's brand. Never had a single problem with it to-date, knock on wood.

My two cents.

Also, keep in mind about finding ammo. You might be better off going for the .44 Magnum version, or the kit version that allows you to shoot .357/.44/50AE. 50AE ammo is hard to find. At least, it was for me when I thought about buying the D. Eagle in 50AE and then went to check to see how it was finding ammo for it... .44 factory ammo is easy to find, and bullets/powder for reloading are easily found.
 
You can also get both a 44 and 50 barrel. It is a 10 second switch and the only other thing you need is a different magazine. You can occasionally shoot the 50 for fun and the full DE experience and the 44 more often because it is cheaper and more available (and still fun).
