Magpul 10 round (Mag559) question

I've searched the forums but can't find anything as to why these are not good or haven't be classified as valid for AR pistols yet?

These have been available for quite a while now... as Magazines go, I thing these would probably be the best 10 round pistol mags around.

Anyone knows why or if a request can be filled?

It's not a pistol specific mag only a 10 round ar pattern mag. On the Magpul website it mentions a lot of rifle patterns it's compatible with, this alone makes it a "rifle" mag. Nowhere does it mention that it's a pistol mag.

They are AR-15 rifle magazine designed and manufactured for States with magazine capacity restrictions, not designed and manufactured for a SPECIFIC brand and model of a pistol (ie LAR-15 or XCR Micro)
