Magpul AFG

Looking for a Magpul AFG. Anybody know who carries them? Are the ones on Ebay legit or knockoffs?

If you're going to buy from Fleabay, make sure you check out the seller and verify that he's in the USA, not Hong Kong or China...you stand a better chance of getting a genuine product that way. Also, some of them are not too obvious in disclosing that it's a PTS version, and not the regular AFG...be sure to read the complete description.

If you're looking in the USA, Brownells has most of the AFG1's in stock right now...AFG2 is on backorder. They will ship to Canada and have pretty good customer service.

I got mine from wolverine, used it few times and sold it.

Doesn't fit my hands well. i prefer grasping the rail with index points.

I found it also difficult to hold with the AFG 2.

I had one on mine for a short while, until I figured out you need a long rail for it. I found it uncomfortable with a regular carbine length rail.

Probably the material used...different polymers? I bought a PTS by accident...feels very plasticy. Works fine otherwise.

Was also a ##### to instal on the NEA. Had to loosen all screws on the AFG and even then I needed a hammer to move it up or down.

I had a traditional vert grip and have since switched to the afg2 and really like it - I would agree that it might not suit everyone but for me it seemed a natural fit. For what it's worth, I am 6'1" and have a 12" rail...hmmm, that sounds mildly inappropriate

I picked mine up on the EE. I think I would much rather grab one there than on Fleabay...much more likely on the EE to get the real deal IMO.

I just ordered an AFG1 from Brownells. $33.20 plus $5.75 for shipping, best price I've seen. I looked up the PTS version as well. It looks like they are made for paintball guns.
