Magpul DBM Install

I Have a R700 SA with a H&S stock , looking for a DBM on a budget and wondering if anyone has any input on installing/modifying the magpul DBM .

Is it an aluminum stock? I wouldn’t recommend doing it on aluminum. I did it on a factory stock and it was a PITA but it did work

I installed a magpul bottom metal in an HS precision stocked rifle I had years ago. It works pretty well. I had to trim off material from the bottom metal and open up the stock with a dremel but it fit fine and fed without issues. There is a video on YouTube I believe of a guy doing it. You have to cut off a fair bit of the bottom metal

If you're looking to DIY a DBM install, the easiest option available is the Stiller. It involves a little bit of dremel hacking (really not much) but the DBM is designed to cover up your hack job anyways, haha. I installed one years ago on a Boyd's Pro Varmint stock and it worked great.

H S Precision DBM for an all stainless steel option...that will drop in & function w/o issues or modifications.

I ended up going with a AtlasWorx Elite DBM . Hopefully it works ok . Supposed to be minimal stock in letting .
