Made from reinforced polymer and an anodized aluminum bedding block, the Magpul Remington 700 Hunter Stock offers users a cost effective replacement featuring fully adjustable length of pull, comb height, and enhanced ergonomics.

Compatible with Remington 700 Short Actions, this stock requires no bedding and is a true “drop-in” solution for the end user*. This stock is also M-LOK compatible to accept a broad range of accessories.

Also available is our Bolt Action Magazine Well, which allows the rifle to be used with detachable box magazines without the need for custom inletting.

All blind floorplate ADL models will require current factory Remington hinged bottom metal or the optional Magpul Bolt Action Magazine Well.

Since factory action mounting screws can come in a variety of lengths, grinding to length or utilizing longer replacements may be necessary to optimize fit with the Hunter 700.

The Magpul Bolt Action Magazine Well is a drop-in solution for our Remington 700 Hunter Stock for those that are wishing to add detachable box magazine capabilities to their rifle.

By simply removing your OEM bottom metal and our spacer from the Hunter 700 Stock, users can add this reinforced polymer trigger guard and magazine well without the need for custom inletting from gunsmiths. Designed to work with AICS pattern, short action magazines. This kit also includes one Magpul PMAG® 5 7.62 AC.

The magwells are designed specifically for the Hunter 700 stock - but I haven't tried to mount it on anything else.
 
I'm looking to replace the box mag ony 783 which Is supposed to use some 700 parts, I have the short action 308, I'd try it if you guys wanted a tester, no mods to the part
 
From what I've read, the Magpul Magwell will only work on the Hunter stocks. They are not designed as a drop-in fit for non-Hunter stocks and not even M5 profiled.
 
I'm going to give it a shot on my 700 5R Milspec and see, otherwise I'll be waiting for a 700 hunter stock in OD.
 
Received my detachable mag set last night. Unfortunately, it does not drop in to my HS Precision stock in my 5R. Looks like I'm off to get some inletting done!
 
It does not fit the M5 profile unfortunately, likely due to it being polymer. It is a little wider and beefier towards the front screw. Custom inletting is pretty much my only option short of getting the Hunter stock which i wasn't necessarily planning on as it does not fit my uses.
