Hey guys,

I recently purchased a Glock 19 gen 4 and decided to also pick up a Magpul GL enhanced magwell for it.

After installing it, I tried the Glock 19 oem 10 round mags = they don't fully seat and won't lock in. The base plate of the mag comes in contact with the magwell.

Luckily, I also have some Magpul Pmags for the Glock 19 = they seat and lock in, eject the mag... doesn't drop free, had to pull the mag out.

This is what I found on Magpuls website:

"The Magpul GL Enhanced Magazine Well is optimized for use with standard capacity Glock factory magazines, Magpul GL magazines, and a variety of aftermarket floorplates and extensions that are available for both. Recent generations of reduced capacity (10 rd) factory Glock magazines have several dimensional differences which may interfere with any magazine well, including the Magpul GL Enhanced Magazine Well. Some large aftermarket floorplates may also interfere."

"Due to inherent variances in Glock frame production, if an excessively tight fit is experienced during the installation of an Enhanced Magazine Well that requires excessive force it is recommended that a competent and professional gunsmith be utilized to complete the installation and mitigate any potential for frame damage."

Anyways, I just wanted to pass on my experience with these, hand fitting might be the solution just don't expect these to work out of the box.

Anyone else having issues with these?

Thanks.

Had the same issue with my Glock 19 and an agency magwell, but only if I'd pussy foot the mag in. Drive it in and it's worked fine.

Just put one on my G19 gen 3 about a month ago, no problem seating either the stock 19 mags or the Magpul mags,, both eject no problem whatsoever. The only issue I see is in a situation where stripping a mag is necessary, not much to grab on the stock mag, a little more territory on the Magpul to grab. All in all, I'm happy with it, used it in a few competitions so far and it's worked well.

I tapped the oem mag hard and it still wouldn't go. For now, the magwell will stay off my 19.
Just going to throw this out there,,no reflection on your intelect, but are you positive you have the Gen 4 magwell? I only ask because I know they offer one for the Gen 3.and the Gen 4,,, is it possible you got the wrong one?

Not a fan of the Magpul magwells, I have a few different Agency Magwells and *had* similar problems. First thing I was told from the Canadian dealer was to make sure the magwell was seated on the frame properly - mine wasn't had to reseat it. Second was something they told me that I shook my head at until I heard it right from Agency as well. They told me that I may need to shave off the top off the mag baseplate in order for it to seat properly, and I have heard the same thing from Agency a few times now as well. Seems there are a few different height baseplates kicking around depending on what mag a guy has.
