Magpul precision rifle stock

Magpul does make an AR10 version of the PRS with a short cheek piece.

That was what I asked for and this is what I got from wolverine. So unless there is some sort of identification on the stock to suggest which rifle it is made for, I wouldn't have a clue. I really have to question spending $300 on a stock for my AR, but to each his own. It is a heavy stock and I don't really see the value of it being put on a carbine setup. It would be nice on a varmit/target AR rig.

Well in that case, which I hate to point fingers, you have been mis-informed. I also have a PRS on a SPR build (AR15 platform) and yes it is an expensive stock.

So personally, I don't think you should settle because you asked for a stock for the AR10 and got the AR15 version. Even though there is no marking on the stock, the shorter cheek rest which allow clearence for the AR10 charging handle is the clear sign if it is a AR10 version or not. I would not be happy every time I charge my rifle and the handle keeps hitting the cheek piece.

You might be able to get the short cheek rest without getting a new stock though.

Talked to Wolverine and sent them a copy of my first email requesting a stock for the AR10. Long story short, new parts are in the mail. They made the problem go away.
