So I'm finally taking a plunge into the .308/7.62mm Nato world with an LMT308MWSF (which I hear is just a fantastic rifle). I'm going to be replacing the standard stock assembly with a Magpul PRS. Can anyone confirm that I need the AR10 version and not the AR15? (pretty sure that's the case, just wanted to be 100%) Thanks in-advance.

Also, does the LMT308 have a full-length rifle buffer?

Cause i can :D

UBR will work.

I have the ar10 prs on mine... I'm pretty sure the charging handle would interfere with the cheek riser on the ar15 version. I could be wrong though

Actually, you might be right (I remember reading something about charging handles). So here's a question: with the longer length buffer tube in the PRS, would there be any benefit in running with a rifle as opposed to the standard buffer? (less recoil possibly?)

You can order the car buffer and spring directly from Slash's. That's all you need really.

Congrats on choosing the mws, it's by far the nicest quality ar I've laid hands on, and groups tighter than every bolt action .308 I've owned.
If you're reloading, pm me, I've got a bunch of recipes for sub moa ammunition for the mws.

Appreciated - and thanks! Nice looking .308, btw. I think based on your setup and TV's suggestion I'm going to go with a UBR after all.

The ubr is pretty good in the prone position, cheek weld is much better than the sopmod.
And the shorter available length of pull of the ubr vs. the prs is nice for using it "carbine" style. Keeps the gun flexible in application.

Only advantage to the prs is the ability to use the "heavy" rifle length slash's buffer to tame the recoil a bit. From what I read it's not a huge difference in felt recoil though.
A brake is much more effective.

The stock lmt trigger is decent, better than every other stock ar trigger I've tried, but a geissele dmr was a significant upgrade.

You're a high roller Blaxsun !
You should slap a leupold 1-8 with the horus reticle on your mws, pretty much the perfect optic for it.
