Is it common to have to file down the followers (even if you swap to the Magpul "enhanced" followers) to retain a full 10rnd capacity when you install ranger plates on CPD 10 rnd .223 pistol mags?

I haven’t tried them on 10 round magazines. That’s not surprising that you need to do that.

The ranger plate instructions indicate to only load 28 or 29 rounds when installing on an USGI magszine.

Yeah, I figured I'd put them on 10 rounders so they're easier to pull out of mag pouches but I'd also rather not give up the full capacity given we're already dealing with neutered capacity to begin with, haha.

It's common enough that True North Arms has it as a note on their product page for the Ranger Plate for USGI mags.

Compatible with:
CPD LAR-15 mags but you may have to file the mag body lips and/or ranger plate plastic by 1mm or so
